I moved up to Vermont in 2014 with my wife and daughter after working as a session piano / keyboard player and songwriter in Nashville, TN. I continue to be an in-demand keyboard performer throughout Vermont. Some of my career highlights include playing solo at The Bitter End in New York City, the Blue Bird Café in Nashville, TN and Nectar’s in Burlington, VT. I have written and produced three albums of which are available on CD Baby and Apple Music.
I am originally from Toronto, Canada. I studied piano at Humber College's Commercial Music Program (1995) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada before transferring out west to Capilano College's Jazz Studies Music Program (1998) in North Vancouver, BC, Canada. In 2017 I completed The Piano Technicians Academy PTA program to become a Certified Piano Technician.
Since 2018 I have been composing music for film with placements in media projects from the United States, Canada, Brazil and France.
I love seeing my students achieve goals that they felt were out of reach. I have taught private and group lessons over the past ten years in various locations in Canada and the U.S. I am excited to share my love of music with my students . Lessons will be tailored to whatever the students’ needs and interests are. I am available to teach students ages 6 and up. Some topics of interest include: music rudiments theory, lifting songs by ear, ear training, improvising and songwriting / composing, jazz, world music, pop / rock, and more.
I offer private instruction in piano, theory and songwriting analysis to students of all ages. It is never too late to start learning!
